Why Boys are better than Girls

Boys are the best gender there is.

There are many reasons why boys are better than girls. But these three stand out. Boys can make girls jealous, they can go to Boys High and they are awesome.

Firstly boys don't have to worry about having a baby.

Secondly they don’t worry about looking cool because they already are.

Finally they don’t worry about the ladies because the ladies come to them.

For these reasons, I believe boys are better than girls because they don't worry about having babies, they look cool and the ladies love us.

GOALS

Here are my goals for reading, writing and math for Term 3.

SAXOPHONE

The saxophone is a star instrument in jazz.

It has been around for 201 years.

The metal body can come in colours of red, brown, green and many more.

The Saxophone was created in Paris.

It was created in 1814 by Adolphe Sax. On Feb 3 his good friend introduced the saxophone by concert featuring his choral work..

1847 - On February 14 in Paris, a saxophone school was created. It was set up at "Gymnase Musical," a military band school.

MY PAPA

My papa has a special talent

He always knows what to do

To make his grandchild happy

And to show he loves me to.

At family get-togethers

He’s the person to look for

He can entertain small children for

hours,

And they always keep asking for more.

You can tell when my Papa is teasing,

By the twinkle that's shines in his eyes

He’s an expert at settling problems,

For he’s hard working, grouchy and wise.

His grandchild always admires him

Even when I’m grown

I’ll always feel proud and happy,

To claim my Papa as my own.

KAHIKATEA TREE

Parts used for medicine

Leaves, berries, the wood and bark.

Medicinal use:

When boiled, leaves help sores or bruises and the berries are used for urinary complaints.

The wood can be used for stopping the bleeding of the mouth.

Boiled leaves make a strong tea used to stop vomiting.

Boil the bark and leaves together and use warm liquid to rub on stiff neck or back.

Chew bark for numbness.
